INDEPENDENT PRESS ENDORSES MALY! Posted on Oct 30, 2008 The Bloomfield Independent Press has issued a resounding endorsement of Bloomfield First Ward Councilwoman Janice Maly's re-election bid in its October 30, 2008 issue. The endorsement reads as follows: "Maly is seeking her third term on council. She has grown considerably in the past six years. She speaks knowledgeably on traffic problems, school needs, budgetary issues, redevelopment, flooding and quality-of-life concerns. She is able to see the human dimension in most issues, which is good in public servants. And she appears ready to stand firm on tough issues, if that’s what it takes." The publication also endorsed Nick Joanow in the 2nd Ward and Robert Ruane in the 3rd Ward. The endorsement continued: These are difficult times.
